Find relaxation in the fragrant forests of Hagi

Join me for half a day, where we will make our own essential oil from Hagi’s local trees—Japanese cypress (hinoki) and pine. While the distilliation process is underway, enjoy a guided walk through the forest, where you’ll hear stories of Hagi’s forestry traditions and how people lived in harmony with the woods. From a scenic lookout, take in sweeping views of the town and spend a relaxing moment surrounded by the scent and breeze of the forest.
Once the oils are distilled, you’ll receive your freshly-made essential oil to take home as a fragrant keepsake of Hagi’s forests.
