Sake lees are amazing! Apply them, eat them, and glow!
This workshop introduces a creative way to use sake lees—a nutrient-rich, solid paste created as a byproduct of the sake-brewing process—in your daily life. Hagi’s rich volcanic soils, formed by the Abu volcano group, have nurtured premium sake rice for generations, establishing Hagi as a center for high-quality sake production. Even today, Hagi’s local sake is widely cherished.
Discover the charm of Hagi’s sake and enjoy the versatile benefits of its byproduct, sake lees. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to eat it and apply it, creating your own face packs and bath bombs to promote beauty and wellness.
