Explore with an old map in hand and enjoy a game of Hagi Bingo!

The Horiuchi Preservation District, once part of Hagi Castle’s Sannomaru (outer bailey), is a vast former samurai residential area and a registered World Heritage Site within UNESCO’s ‘Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution.’

With a 200-year-old map in hand, join a local guide to discover why this district has survived with its town scenery of earthen walls and natsumikan oranges. Along the way, solve clues with our fun Hagi Bingo game while exploring the historic streets.
