Blessed with abundant rivers and streams, Hagi is often called the “City of Water.” Take in the beautiful scenery of Hagi Castle Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the nearby districts of preserved traditional buildings, from the rivers and sea aboard the Hagi Sightseeing Boat.

Onboard, your guide will share the history and scenery of Hagi, and you can enjoy the autumn colors of cherry trees planted by the disciples of scholar Yoshida Shoin. Take a moment to immerse yourself in the history of Hagi from the river and sea.

Our Autumn Foliage Sightseeing Cruise lasts about 50 minutes and takes you along the riverbank, where you can enjoy views of cherry blossom trees in all their autumn glory.

Take in the sights from the river and sea, and enjoy a unique view of Hagi’s natural and historical scenery.

Kikugahama Beach & Defense Wall of Hagi Castle Ruins

Earthen walls were built near the coast of Kikugahama Beach to defend against attacks by foreign ships, with narrow openings designed for firing guns.
