Relax by candlelight and enjoy 60s record music at our ship chandlery café

Muraya Café invites you to sit back, relax and indulge in an evening of music from the 60’s and 70’s, amidst candlelit retro sailing equipment that was sold and used in the area during the Meiji period. Various alcoholic beverages will be available, along with our exclusive Night Muraya Café menu, including oden and other tasty snacks.

Meet the Host

Yasufumi Miyata | Muraya Café

As the owner of Muraya Café and someone passionate about the history of Hagi and the local area of Hamasaki, I’m always happy to share my knowledge about the town.

With the hope of making the former merchant town of Hamasaki better known and creating a place where visitors can feel warmly welcomed, my wife and I opened Muraya Café together in 2022.

Normally only open during the day, we will be opening our doors at night for two days only. We can’t wait to spend the evening with you!

Schedule

  1. The café will be open from 5 pm to 9 pm—feel free to hop by whenever you like!
  2. Mini shirasu-don, drinks served with light refreshments and more will be available to purchase from ¥500.
  3. Drinks, etc. can be purchased from the counter, pub style.
  4. Relax with your drink and enjoy the vinyl music from the 60’s and 70’s.
