Celebrating Traditional and Modern Style Kimono in Historic Hagi

Come and enjoy a vibrant kimono fashion show in front of the Hagi Museum, a landmark amongst the traditional architecture of Hagi Castle Town. You’ll be sure to see why Hagi is known as the town that most suits kimono!
The show will feature two segments: one with modern-styled kimono paired with boots, hats, and other accessories, and another showcasing traditional kimono.
Viewing is free and no reservation is required. Don’t miss this chance to experience the beauty of kimono against the historic backdrop of Hagi Museum.

Rumi Suenaga | NPO Hagi Open-Air Museum
Emiko Hayashi | Kimono no Kikata
Rumi: As a board member of NPO Hagi Open-Air Museum, I aim to bring new energy to Hagi through community events such as this one.
Emiko: I run a kimono school in Hagi, Yamaguchi, where I’ve taught for over seven years and worked with more than 1,800 students and clients.
Let’s rediscover the charm of Hagi—the city where kimono looks best—as we enjoy this wonderful show together.
