Change into Kimono and Enjoy Freshly Crafted Japanese Sweets and Matcha in an Edo-period Merchant’s Mansion

This limited-time program offers a rich taste of Hagi’s cultural heritage—blending tradition, atmosphere, and cuisine. Begin by changing into a kimono of your choice, then step into the serene setting of the Kikuya Family Residence, once a wealthy merchant’s home and distinguished guesthouse. There, much like a master sushi chef presenting each piece with care, a Japanese sweets artisan will craft seasonal sweets before your eyes, specially created for this program. Savor these freshly made delights with matcha, all while dressed in kimono—an immersive experience that captures the very essence of Japanese culture.
