Muraya Caf\u00e9 invites you to sit back, relax and indulge in an evening of music from the 60’s and 70’s, amidst candlelit retro sailing equipment that was sold and used in the area during the Meiji period. Various alcoholic beverages will be available, along with our exclusive Muraya Caf\u00e9 night-time menu, including oden and other tasty snacks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As the owner of Muraya Caf\u00e9 and someone passionate about the history of Hagi and the local area of Hamasaki, I\u2019m always happy to share my knowledge about the town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the hope of making the former merchant town of Hamasaki better known and creating a place where visitors can feel warmly welcomed, my wife and I opened Muraya Caf\u00e9 together in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normally only open during the day, we will be opening our doors at night for two days only. We can’t wait to spend the evening with you!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

  1. The caf\u00e9 will be open from 5 pm to 9 pm\u2014feel free to hop by whenever you like!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Drinks served with light refreshments such as oden and more will be available to purchase from \u00a5500.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Drinks, etc. can be purchased from the counter, pub style.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Relax with your drink and enjoy the vinyl music from the 60’s and 70’s.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Ship Chandlery<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Located in the Hamasaki Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings, Muraya Caf\u00e9 was once a ship chandlery built in the Edo period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Paraffin Lamps Used in the Meiji Period<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Muraya Caf\u00e9 is decorated with many treasures from the past, including paraffin lamps that were used to light up ships during the Meiji and Taisho periods.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
